Just a couple of ads, circa 1983 and 1986, for two long-gone indy bookstores. Spring Street books, in Soho, shut down in the 1990s.
I don’t know when East Side Books threw in the towel, but the cool 1980s ad lives on. Saint Marks Bookshop used to be a few doors down until they moved to their current site on Third Avenue.
