Anyone who grew up in the New York area (or watched a lot of Channel 11 on weekday mornings) in the 1970s and 1980s will remember The Albert Merrill School. Their commercials ran constantly and were only outdone by the Apex Tech dude offering that free toolbox.
Albert Merrill is long gone, but this building ad on West 28th Street remains amazingly well-preserved.
AMNY Urbanite has more Albert Merrill School information and nostalgia (scroll down to “Throwback Thursday: The Albert Merrill School”).
