Squeezing in a ball game between tenements

This photo isn’t dated, and it doesn’t say where exactly in New York City it was taken. But it looks like spring, and these kids are determined to play.

The wagon on the right makes for nice stadium seats. I’m sure some of that laundry got whacked with the dirty ball though.
