In the 1980s I worked for the US Courthouse in Brooklyn, which was located at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge. My greatest thrill was walking to and from work across the Bridge, from my apartment on the Lower East Side. And the time I was nutty enough to do it in all kinds of weather, sun, gloom, rain, blizzard, you would find me marching up and down the Bridge. What an exhilarating trek that always was! Worked there two and half years and I sure was healthy and in shape when I did so. Boy, those Brooklyn Bridge days, ahhhhh….
